This year has absolutely flown by! I cannot believe that we are nearing the end of another school year! This is such a crucial time for students. They are beginning to prepare for their final exams or end of year testing.
Here are a few tips as you begin to study:
1- Do not waste time, start now! Waiting until a few weeks before an exam to study is a bad idea. This will lead to high stress, anxiety, and likely NOT the results the student is capable of. I always tell my tutors to begin the end of year prep right around spring break. That means that the ideal test prep time is here! Get stared now!
2- Study using the method that works for you. Even student has a learning style. I am a visual learner. For me, I would take my notes, and rewrite them, color code them, etc. I would make flashcards and study in ways that would allow me to 'see' the material. My daughter is an auditory learner and it helps her when she says the material out loud when she study! Everyone has a method that makes studying more beneficial. Find your style and start that prep!
3- Study with a tutor, peer or parent. It always helps to have someone to ask you the material and challenge you. If you don't have a peer or parent that is able to help, beam Tutoring would love to! All of our tutors specialize in test prep, study skills, and figuring out the best way for you to engage in the learning process!
Finals are here and will be over before you know it! Take advantage of the time you have now and make sure that your results are ones that you desire!
