Covid-19 has changed what seems like every aspect of life. Education has been no exception. As tutors, we have had to adapt and change in ways we would have never imagined.
Virtual learning has overtaken the lives of teachers and students across the world. While there can be many benefits to a virtual platform, there are often many roadblocks that can arise.
Many students long for face to face instruction. They thrive and grow when a teacher is with them, leading their education journey. Students have been forced to adapt to the fact that their teachers are now separated by a computer screen. It has created long days that turns into to frustration.
I started beam Tutoring because of my passion for students. I have seen the immense benefits of tutoring while being a classroom teacher. I have been able to be that one on one tutor for kids outside of the classroom and see their confidence grow and their progress fly off of the charts. I have always known how special and beneficial the tutoring process was, but this year has shown me a new side of tutoring.
This school year, we have been called upon to be the 'in person' face of learning. Our tutors are teaching children. We have been given the huge responsibility of bridging the gap Virtual Learning has created. This has been a new and exciting time despite the challenges Covid-19 has presented. We are choosing to focus on the positives we discover each and every day. Our tutors are able to experience this journey alongside the students and their families and we are seeing success. Students are making tremendous progress and growing each and every day! We are making a difference.
We have grown as educators during this uncertain time. We are more prepared and more experienced as ever to make sure students are thriving and receiving the support that they need. We are ready to go on ANY journey with ALL students. Whatever need you may have, we are ready. Now, more than ever, we are here and excited to share in your story of your education.
