Hi, thank you for visiting beam Tutoring. I'm Kerra Johnson, a former elementary/middle school teacher who has tutored students of all ages for nearly 15 years. I graduated with honors from UNC Charlotte as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow with a degree in education. In addition to my classroom teaching experience, I also served as a mentor to middle and high school athletes by coaching volleyball and basketball athletics. Helping young people is my passion, and I started beam Tutoring to help young students and their families navigate their educational journey. Our company has been fortunate to have supplied hundreds of families with tutoring services.

Education and learning are ever-changing, and providing parents the resources they need to guide their children, help with pesky homework, or prepare for a big test is what we do best. We will personally craft your plan, work closely with you to select the perfect tutor for your child, and communicate daily to assist you and your family. We look forward to helping you and your family.

Hi there! My name is Sarah Helms, I graduated with honors from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Communcation Studies and a Journalism minor. I spent several years working in sports marketing, supporting team sponsors and events. Then many years in the wedding planning industry, making my clients' visions come to life. This passion to serve others serves me well at beam Tutoring as I faciliate tutoring support to our client families and their specific needs. My favorite aspect of my role is hearing positive feedback from parents who are seeing the consistency of our program improve their child's academic abilities and build their confidence.

I am so grateful to be married to my high school sweetheart, and the mother of our three children: Hudson, Russ and Charlie.
