beam Tutoring offers private, one-on-one tutoring services (in-person or virtual) for all subject matters and test preparation for all students and grade levels. We are a 100% female-owned small business. Our owner, Kerra Johnson, is a former elementary school teacher and mom of 4 who understands the challenges of balancing the needs of a busy family. Kerra will complete your initial assessment personally and, with your consultation, pair you with the perfect tutor for your family.
All of our programs are flexible to your schedule. You set the day, time, and location of the sessions. We come to you or tutor online – no need to leave your home, and we do everything in our power to ensure your tutor is always the same.
We serve families and students of all grades and ages across the Charlotte metro area by providing personal attention from the region’s best tutors. We vet our tutors thoroughly and carefully pair them with students based on skill sets and personalities.

We currently serve students from kindergarten through college courses across all subjects, including high school-level math, science, foreign language, writing, and organizational skills. Our tutors are current teachers or recent college grads who are up to date on the current methodologies and strategies taught to our children. ​​
